All year long, the church provides space, goods and services for local missions to our community. Trunk or Treat, Breakfast with Santa and a fall ice cream social are events created to welcome children and families from our neighborhood to the church. Our neighborhood is changing with transitional housing built nearby, where families in poverty and crisis now live. We are now experiencing the blessing of sharing our lives with them.
We provide monetary funds to support inner-city youth and refugees in Omaha and international mission workers in Africa and Asia. We have recently begun to evaluate our mission priorities and are considering how to involve church members more directly in serving others, in addition to donating money. The church desires to find ways to reach the 20–40-year-olds in our community to offer the hospitality and relationship necessary for them to make Fremont Presbyterian their church home.
